Flavour tea & chai

Chai tea and flavoured tea
Flavour tea is a combination of tea and dried herbs, spices, flowers or other added flavourings. This allows you to develop the tea by adding flavour components that complement the regular tea and enhance the experience of drinking tea by engaging more senses. Flavoured tea has a bad reputation with many people because it has been a way to add flavour to poor quality products that would otherwise taste of nothing. But this is not the case with us. At Sing Tehus, we work with flavour in the same way as a chef when developing aroma tea. First and foremost, we use a high-quality tea as a base. We taste the tea and find the natural flavour nuances in the tea, and from this we assess which aroma components this tea would interact well with. These two flavours are already naturally present in the white tea, but when we add them to the product, we go in and emphasise the flavour further. This way, you can go on a little extra journey where you can stimulate more of your senses when drinking tea.
Chai tea - a spicy favourite
Chai tea is a flavoured tea. Chai is the name for tea in several countries. It is an ancient drink that has played an important role in many different cultures. Chai tea in India is a spiced milk tea, and it is this tea that has seen increasing popularity in the rest of the world. However, this popular tea has often been flavoured with all kinds of artificial spices and milk powder, so it is no longer the spicy chai tea of the Indian tradition. Indian chai tea usually consists of: strong black tea, fat milk, a combination of different spices and a sweetener. The spices vary from region to region in India, but the most commonly used are cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and pepper. Indian chai tea produces a calming and warming effect that leaves a wonderful feeling of relaxation. This makes Indian chai a great choice when you need to relax and enjoy a cup of tea with your legs up.

Chai tea can be brewed with hot milk, but we recommend brewing it with water and then adding milk. That way you get the right sweet and rich flavour in your Indian chai tea.
Wide range of flavours and chai teas

In addition, we also have the classic Earl Grey tea, which also falls under the category aroma tea.
