Darjeeling tea comes from the Indian province of Darjeeling, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Here the bushes grow at altitudes of up to 2000 metres and are referred to as the "champagne of tea".
Maharani Hills produces an exceptional quality with greenish first flush leaves. The tea has a fresh and sweet floral scent, lightly fruity and with a balanced astringent flavour.
Maharani Hills garden is one of the larger plantations in Darjeeling and has a location where the combination of soil, rainfall and hours of sunshine produce a marvellous tea.

Preparation
Darjeeling 1st flush is brewed in a preheated pot.
Do not boil the water for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.
Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.
Pour 90-95 degrees hot water over the leaves.
Pull time: 3 - 4 minutes.
As the tea leaves give best results by floating freely, you can use a spacious strainer in the preheated teapot or pour the tea into a preheated teapot.
Tips & Tricks
The tea can also be brewed in cold water for 4-6 hours and enjoyed as a refreshing cold tea with delicate flavour notes. Use about 1 small tbsp. to a litre of water.
Store in a dry and cool place.
