Matcha Ajisai is a high-quality Matcha for cooking. It is made from the summer harvest of the Yabukita variety and is ground into a powder in a ball mill. With a distinct green colour, it is a perfect ingredient for baking and cooking and For matcha lattes, ice cream, desserts or in cold drinks like mock cocktails. 

The flavour profile is nuts, grass and kelp/seaweed it's slightly astringent with a good umami in the body.

About tea farms
Akihiro "Akky" Kita is the president and lead farmer at Obubu. His desire to make tea accessible to the general public is the foundation of Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms. When Akky was at university, he took a part-time job as a farm labourer in Wazuka and fell in love with the tea from this region. He decided to leave university and devote his time to learning the art of tea farming. Recognising the need for independent farmers like himself to spread the joy of drinking Japanese tea, he travels every year during the winter months to bring Japanese tea to people all over the world.
