This Shiitake mushroom tea is grown on IDO's own plantation on the east coast of South Korea.
The mushrooms are grown in oak logs in a pine forest where it takes 12 months from when the mushroom spores are set in the logs until they are harvested.
The mushrooms are naturally strong and can withstand all weather conditions and therefore no artificial fertiliser is used during cultivation. Once the mushrooms have been harvested, they undergo a drying process after which they are roasted.

The flavour is mild and round. The mushrooms can be eaten and used in cooking after making tea with them.
