In the south-western and forested part of China lies the Yunnan province - one of the world's oldest tea growing areas. Tea has been cultivated for almost 1700 years and the area's climate is ideal for producing high quality tea. It is believed that the tea plant Camelia Sinensis has always grown wild in the Yunnan area. "Yun" means cloud and this refers to the very high humidity that characterises Yunnan.

This black tea has a powerful flavour with pleasant malt notes and is slightly smoky.

Suitable for morning and afternoon tea with the addition of milk to taste.

Description

Preparation

Organic Golden Yunnan is brewed in a preheated jug.

Do not boil the water for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.

Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.

Pour 95 degrees hot water over the leaves.

Pull time: 3 - 4 minutes.

As the tea leaves give the best results by flowing freely, you can use a spacious strainer in the preheated teapot or pour organic Golden Yunnan onto a preheated teapot.

Tips & Tricks

If you only brew one cup/glass at a time, you can use a kopsi or "fill-your-own" tea tray, where the leaves can float freely and release the fine aroma. When using a kopsi or. "you can also brew on the leaves again.
