Nepalese tea is very similar to Darjeeling tea, and in the last few years there has been an increased focus on it. The plantations are located in a very humid area in the foothills of the Himalayas and this almost greenhouse-like condition produces a soft, subtly flavoured brew. The export of tea from Nepal is limited as the local demand for the tea is high. Political and weather conditions may also contribute to the limited availability of tea from Nepal.

This Nepal Garden Mist is an evergreen with a delicious spicy flavour. Fortunately, we have managed to get the tea from the same plantation for 15 years now.

Soft and rich flavour.

Description

Preparation

Garden Mist Valley is brewed in a preheated jug.

Do not boil the water for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.

Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.

Pour 95 degrees hot water over the leaves.

Pull time: 3 - 4 minutes.

As the tea leaves give best results by floating freely, you can use a spacious strainer in the preheated teapot or pour the tea into a preheated teapot.

Tips & Tricks

If you only brew one cup/glass at a time, you can use a cup strainer or "fill-your-own" tea trayswhere the leaves can float freely and release their delicate flavour. When using kopsi or. "fill-yourself" tea bags, you can also brew on the leaves again.

Store in a dry and cool place.
