Preparation
Darjeeling 1st flush is brewed in a preheated pot.
Do not boil the water for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.
Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.
Pour 90-95 degrees hot water over the leaves.
Pull time: 3 - 4 minutes.
As the tea leaves give best results by floating freely, you can use a spacious strainer in the preheated teapot or pour the tea into a preheated teapot.
Tips & Tricks
The tea can also be brewed in cold water for 4-6 hours and enjoyed as a refreshing cold tea with delicate flavour notes. Use about 1 small tbsp. to a litre of water.
Store in a dry and cool place.
