Sencha Shuppin 2024 exhibition tea

This tea is from Yame in Japan and is produced by the family business Hoshino Seichaen which has been producing tea since 1946.
Once a year, tea producers from all over Japan come together to exchange experiences and showcase their very best teas at 'Japan Tea Exhibition" where the teas are evaluated.
Sencha Shuppin is a "exhibition tea", which means it is designed to showcase the best of Hoshino Seichaen and are therefore of the absolute best quality.
This tea is an excellent example of the experience and unique production methods Hoshino Seichaen Possessor.
The tea has a fine blue-green colour in the cup, the texture is soft as silk and the taste is elegant with notes of tender green leaves, new vegetables and umami.
