Preparation of Kukicha twigs and leaves:
Kukicha twigs and leaves Best brewed in a pre-heated small teapot, so you can pour water back onto the leaves and make fresh extracts.
Use 1 tsp. (2-3 grams) of tea per cup and pour over the water when it has cooled slightly (75-80 degrees).
Let the tea steep for 1 minute the first time.
For the second brew, the tea steeps for ½ min.
Third brew approx. 2 minutes.
When serving, alternate pouring between cups to mix the contents. The tea leaves can be reused two to three times.
