Hojicha powder is made from a roasted green tea that is pulverised using the same method as Matcha tea.  

The fine powder has aromas of aromatic wood, cocoa and coffee and is suitable for baked goods, ice cream and desserts.
In Sing Teahouse, we serve a Hojicha latte that we sprinkle with a little chocolate on top.

The tea is produced by Marukyu Koyamaen, one of Japan's most recognised tea producers based in Uji, which is known for its unique tea of the highest quality.  

Description

Recipe on a Hojicha latte:

Sift the hojicha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.

Pour a little hot water into the bowl.

Use the bamboo chasen whisk/frother to foam up the tea.

Top the hojicha tea off with steamed, frothed milk of your choice (we recommend oat) and sweeten to your taste.

Top with grated chocolate.
