Japanese green tea that has a more rustic appearance after the green tea leaves have been roasted over charcoal.

Genmaicha is the Japanese name for a green tea with roasted rice grains. In this Genmaicha, there is roasted brown rice, which gives a nice nutty flavour, and popped white rice, which makes the tea beautiful to look at. Genmaicha is a very popular tea in Japan and a great tea to enjoy with food. Genmaicha is also very suitable for drinking cold.

This tea is our producer Hoshino Seichaen in Yame, Fukuoka, Japan.
