A tasting where we introduce you to the twisted and complex world of oolong tea.
Wulong tea, or as it is often written in the western world oolong, is produced in several parts of the world today but originated in the Fujian province of Kian, where it was developed during the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
Oolong means "black dragon" in Chinese and is a partially oxidised tea, which is a category of tea in its own right, as well as white, green and black tea.
The great thing about oolong teas is their complex aroma and deep rich flavour, and if you indulge in these teas a little, they will definitely do you some good.
We will present three teas at the tasting:
- Wu Yi Rock oolong
- Anxi Wulong
- Fenghaung Dancong oolong.
We'll also serve some snacks for tea and touch on production and history.
