Ceramicist Mr Lee Myong-gun trained at 'Habinyo Ceramic Studio'. Since 1990, Mr Lee has continued to produce testel using the traditional wood-fired kiln method. Mr Lee is also part of a research group that is reproducing some of the first known celadon ceramics in Korean history.
Historical note:
In Korea, Celadon (blue porcelain) was produced from the Goryeo Dynasty (11-12 century AD) and loved by people all over East Asia with its beautiful celadon green colour. As a tea artist who loves to drink tea, Mr Lee has been enthusiastically concentrating on the reproduction of this cultural heritage in the traditional way for the past 10 years.
