Bunshogama cup in floral design

Bunshogama ceramics are made by Mr Kojiro BABA who is the third generation of Bunshogama.
His workshop and kiln are located near the top of Mount Koshidake, overlooking the harbour in Imari, Nagasaki prefecture (municipality)
BABA specialises in tableware in kappo style and it's appreciated by many chefs in Japan and now also in Europe.
The dripping glaze and the black spots formed during firing and irregularities in colour make up the individuality of these unique objects.
BABA finds and excavates kaolin on the mountain, which he processes (11 steps) to produce the unique elements.
