Therefore, when you buy our organic tea, you can be absolutely sure that the tea comes from sustainable tea plantations where no pesticides are used. An important detail when it comes to organic tea is that many of our suppliers actually grow organically, as this has always been the way of the family-owned tea business. However, many of these small production companies cannot afford or have the resources to become certified organic. We therefore sell their tea as non-organic, but we don't want to exclude them as the quality of their tea is very high.

It's also important to realise that organic in itself is not a mark of quality. At Sing Tehus, we have seen examples of organic tea producers who want to trade in organic products, but who fall far short of the quality we at Sing Tehus want to offer our customers. Therefore, we choose organic products when we can, but we do not choose organic if it means that we have to compromise on quality or other aspects of the production process.

When we at Sing Tehus import organic tea, the tea must be accompanied by a document detailing the laboratory tests and the level of all the conditions tested for. As an importer, we can therefore see if the individual organic tea varieties fulfil our requirements and we can sort out those that do not. In addition, we are also obliged to take random samples of the tea annually. In this way, we ensure that the certified organic tea in our range fulfils the current requirements for organic tea cultivation.
