Sing Tea House is the first tea house of its kind in Denmark, with a strong focus on Asian tea culture and a special interest on health and quality.
In China, authentic tea houses play a major role in social contexts and during the Cultural Revolution were the hangout for artists and intellectuals. Tea is one of the cornerstones of Japanese culture, and the Japanese tea ceremony, from the 1600s, contains a complexity that takes years of study to become familiar with.

Since 2006, Sing Tea House has been working to spread awareness of the inspiring culture and not least the delicious teas.

Sing Tea House delivers high quality tea in a wide range of different varieties and has its own import of tea from eg. Japan. Sing Tehus is today a supplier to A.P. Moller Maersk, DR, Kurhotel Skodsborg, Restaurant Geranium and more.

Mette Marie Kjær opened Sing Tea House 17 Nov. 2006. With a background as a visual artist, it was the artistic elements of Asian tea culture, including the Japanese tea ceremony, that first captured and showed the way to a large and exciting world of tea.

Mette Marie often visits suppliers in Japan and China, as the friendly relationship and interest in the products is an important part of a good collaboration with the talented tea producers.

We look forward to sharing our world with you.

Tea in Copenhagen

Sing Tehus has been around since November 17, 2006.

On August 15, 2015, the store in Skindergade moved to Kompagnistræde.

We have taken over 160 square meters, spread over two floors. We have set up shop on the two floors, and thus have the opportunity to make private events, also during business hours. The old house we moved into originally served as a warehouse, and from 1898 to 1958 was an Asian wholesale tea company.

We are glad to bring tea back into the house. We offer tea service, with an exquisite tea menu and delicious cakes in Kompagnistræde 30.
