Matcha bowl by Lindegren no 33
A matcha bowl is called in Japanese a ‘chawan’.
The matcha tea is whipped directly into the bowl and then enjoyed by the bowl.
There are therefore many prerequisites for a chawan, both in aesthetics and as a utility item, for a chawan to be good to whip in and good to drink the tea from.
This matcha bowl is Danish designed by Tommy Lindegren from Bornholm.
Tommy has many years of experience in making matcha bowls, so the balance, thickness and aesthetics are in balance. The bowls are handmade and all bowls are therefore unique.
