Matcha bowl by Lindegren no. 30
A matcha bowl is called a ‘chawan’ in Japanese.
The matcha tea is whipped directly into the bowl and then enjoyed from the bowl.
There are therefore many prerequisites for a chawan, both in terms of aesthetics and as an object of use, for a chawan to be good to whip in and good to drink the tea from.
This matcha bowl is Danishly designed by Tommy Lindegren from Bornholm.
Tommy has many years of experience in making matcha bowls, so the balance, thickness and aesthetics are in balance.
The bowls are handmade and all bowls are therefore unique.
