Kyeong Hoon Yeun lives in Mungyeong, centrally located in South Korea.
Mungyeong has a long history and today is known for its various historical and scenic attractions. The city’s name means “to hear good news.”
Kyeong Hoon Yeun has worked as a potter for 22 years and his signature is a patented technique where he mixes a metal that cannot rust in water together with the glaze.
This technique and glaze give very unique expressions like images from the galaxy or a constellation.
Kyeong Hoon Yeun primarily makes matcha bowls and vases, but is working on transferring the technique to larger objects, such as moon jars and large dishes.
