In January, Sing Tehus is being visited by our dear friend, Cronne Trang.
Corinne is an award-winning author of several books on Asian food cultures. She is a tea artist, consultant and educator, specializing in tea experiences including tastings, meditations, therapies, and educational workshops and presentations:
Tea is a beverage, spiritual practice and way of life. Originating in China thousands of years ago, it comes from a single plant called Camellia sinensis. Much like wine, its many characteristics are defined by terroir including climate and soil conditions, as well as seasonal harvesting and processing techniques.
For its healing properties, tea simultaneously calms and energizes body and mind, allowing for greater focus. A symbol of respect and harmony, it is one of the greatest gifts one can receive, and thus has helped build communities, facilitating conversation while maintaining peace and equilibrium.
Join Corinne for a special tasting here with us at Sing Tehus. She will be demonstrating the centuries-old gong fu cha, which originates in her family’s ancestral home of Chao Zhou in the Phoenix Mountains located in the Guangdong Province, one of the most famous tea regions of China.
